Alejandro Viramontes Nunura is a Mexican composer and educator. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in composition from Berklee College of Music in 2019. Alejandro's music comes from a search for authenticity. By integrating different contemporary and experimental languages into relatively accessible forms, his pieces seek to push the listener's ear without sacrificing the sentimental reaction that the music evokes. His work has led him to participate in international competitions such as the International Antonín Dvorak Composition Competition and he has been a finalist in The American Prize 2020 competition. He is currently studying for a master's degree in composition at the UNAM Faculty of Music under the tutelage of Dr. Julio Estrada.
